After choosing typography, I have been looking further into the kind of work I would like to persue from it. When I chose typography I was worried that I was going to lose the traditional hand drawn methods and become very computerised and digital, so I have decided try and make sure I am fairly heavily involved with my drawing skills, whatever the breif may be. I think the use of both hand constructed and digital type can be very effective on a piece if used correctly. I also dont want to lose the image based side of Graphic Design and how type works in conjuction with it. I would like to work woth photography and Illustration for some pieces.
Animation is another interesting area for me and would like to try and create something using moving type and perhaps an animation with type in it.
Even with all of this I still need to ensure I am always reffering back to lsayout and grids as this is very important, not just im type but in all areas of design.
Another thing to think about: Media, what I use, what my canvas is, how interactive it is.
